Our people are what makes Terra Linda Veterinary Hospital such a special place to bring your companions, and we take the time to make sure we hire the best people for the job, who share the same love for animals that we do. Our goal is to make sure that your pet gets the most effective medical care in the most comfortable environment with the best possible customer service.
Allan, Veterinary Assistant
Allan began his career in the veterinary field in 2007, right here at TLVH. With over 10 years of hands on experience, it’s no wonder Allan has become very skilled in dentistry, diagnostics, and surgical assisting. His calm demeanor proves effective when working with nervous patients and he enjoys sharing his expertise while on-boarding new staff. What he finds most rewarding about his job is the special relationship that builds between the clients, patients and our staff. In his spare time, Allan prefers to be outdoors, either hiking, camping, backpacking or rock climbing. Those of us who have known Allan for a long time have even seen him bring out his break dancing moves!
Angela, Registered Veterinary Technician
A Northern California native, Angela has over 11 years of experience in veterinary nursing, shelter and general medicine. Angela enjoys attending continuing education seminars to stay current on the latest advances in veterinary medicine, and providing leadership and training to the rest of the TLVH nursing staff. Currently, Angela is working towards a Veterinary Technician Specialty license in Clinical Practice. When she needs a little down time, she enjoys reading Manga (Japanese comic/visual novels), playing video games, cooking, or snuggling up with Rupert, her 6 ½ year old Pitbull rescue.
Briana, Veterinary Assistant
While pursuing her undergraduate education in New Orleans, LA, Briana had an exciting experience interning at the Audubon Zoo. After graduation, she returned to her hometown of Napa and worked at the local Humane Society for the spay and neuter clinic. Eight years ago, she inherited a 20-year old tortoise named Bowser, and just recently adopted a 3-month-old Ball Python named Noodle. With her zest for learning and love for all animals, we are lucky to have Brianna (our future Veterinarian!) on board. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking and listening to live music.
Lindsey, Veterinary Assistant
Lindsey is excited about joining Terra Linda Vet! Growing up with horses and having a passion for the sciences, she’d always considered pursuing a career in the veterinary field. Soon, she will be going back to school to accomplish her dream of becoming a licensed veterinary technician. Lindsey lives locally with Helo, a 3-year-old pit bull, and Buffy, a 5-year-old calico kitty. When she’s not providing tender care to our patients, she enjoys hiking with Helo, playing video games, and getting her “horse fix” out on the trails. What Lindsey loves most about working in this field is having the opportunity to help those that don’t have a voice of their own.
Ophelie, Veterinary Assistant
Ophelie grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, chickens–and more– in her hometown, a small village in the countryside of France. Having studied animal husbandry, she honed her skills working in several boarding kennels in France until her move to the United States in 2009. Since her move to California, Ophelie has continued to work in this field and we are lucky to have her as one of our Veterinary Assistants. With her passion for the welfare of all animals, it’s no wonder she has decided to pursue her career as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She, her husband, and her dachshund named Maxx enjoy weekend getaways exploring Northern California camping, hiking and pretty much anything outdoors!
Front Office Staff
Ashley, Client Services Representative
Born and raised in Southern California, Ashley has recently relocated to the Bay Area and we are thrilled to have her on our team! As one of your first points of contact when you enter our hospital, Ashley will offer you a warm greeting and get you checked in. Ashley grew up caring for many pets at home so the veterinary field has been an exciting career change for her. Currently she has her hands full raising a “Chiweenie” named Chica; a Jack Russell/Beagle mix named Duke; and a Pomeranian named Bailey. When her and her husband have a day off together, they enjoy trying new Bay Area cuisine, and all that the Northern California outdoors has to offer.
Andrea, Client Services Representative
Having worked in the hospitality industry until 2010, Andrea knew she wanted to make a career change into helping people and their pets. To help with that transition, she began volunteering for various organizations (SFSPCA, Paws/LA, Beagles and Buddies) to gain some experience. Finally, she landed an opportunity working the front desk at a veterinary hospital, and has been in a client service role since 2011. What she enjoys most about her job is getting to know the clients and their pets and being a part of that special bond. She and her husband live in Marin County with their two Shih-tzus–Mickey and Ming–and their rescue cat named Boots. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys running, hiking, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
Carly, Front Office Manager
A native of Marin County, Carly grew up just south of San Rafael in the town of Corte Madera. As with many of her coworkers, Carly has wanted to surround herself with animals from a very young age, and this desire is what prompted her entrance into the veterinary field in 2014. After starting her career as a kennel technician, and moving into veterinary assisting, she finally found her place in the front office of Terra Linda Veterinary Hospital in 2016. She loves that her job now allows her to form a lasting relationship with both pets and their parents. She currently lives in Petaluma with her fiancé, Sam, Amelie their dog, and Finnegan their cat. In her spare time, she loves to be outdoors, especially exploring the coast or sailing on the bay – but equally loves the peace of reading at home.
Ann Glascock-Ryan, Practice Manager
Ann Glascock-Ryan has been passionate about dogs since she was a child and always figured out ways to make a little money working with them. Upon graduation from UC Santa Barbara, the thought of a career working with dogs was not on the radar and she fell into the “soon to be booming” high-tech industry in San Francisco. She worked at Advent Software for 16 years where she was able to hone her skills in business and discover her love of hiring and managing people. She also managed to implement the dog policy at Advent long before this was a hip thing to do. In 2002, she started Ryan Consulting to advise companies on staffing, hiring, and getting the most out of their employees.
In parallel to working at Advent and running Ryan Consulting, Ann was also increasing her exposure, knowledge, and experience with dogs. She showed her dogs in obedience, was intricately involved in volunteering at both Guide Dogs for the Blind and Canine Companions for Independence, and completed the Canine Behavior Academies with Trish King, CPDT, CDBC. In 2010, Ann decided to pursue a career in this field and became the Staff Director at Camp K-9 of Marin, a large-scale dog boarding facility. In 2016, Ann joined Terra Linda Veterinary Hospital as their Practice Manager and is finishing up a Masters of Business Administration for Executives at Sonoma State University.
Ann is thrilled to be working with Terra Linda Veterinary Hospital and can’t decide if the clients, the employees or the pets provide more happiness in her career. She sees an amazing future growing the practice while maintaining our neighborhood values.
